Dictionary Work:

1. Ravine: A deep narrow gorge with steep steps.

2. Dashed: Run or travel somewhere in a great hurry.

3. Sheer: (Cliff or Wall) Perpendicular or Nearly

4. Gorge: A deep, narrow valley, usually steep and rocky, especially one with a stream.

5. Menace: A person or thing that is likely to cause harm or a threat or danger.

6. Dangle: To hang or Swing loosely.

7. Braced: A piece of Equipment that clamps things tightly together or that gives support.

Questions:

1. Ned was terrified by the big grizzly bears.
