Learning Intention: I am learning to rewrite my sentences so that they vary in length, structure and beginnings.
The sloth is a weird creature it has some unique features not much are known about sloths and how many are left. There are five sub-species of the sloth but there are two main species of sloth two toed and the three toed Two toed sloths are bigger than three toed. The sloths had ancient relative that was a ground sloth witch grew to the size of an elephant. They can weight up to 8kgs depending on what type of species it is some sub species are endangered.

Appearance
Sloths have long arms and shaggy fur. They have roundish looking heads and they has really sad looking eyes. They also have little ears. They also have stubby tails. They look like monkeys but, believe it or not, are related to Armadillos and Anteaters. The sloth can grow up to between 600-800mm.
Despite looking like a monkey, the sloth is actually related to the armadillo and anteater. The sloth has a stubby tail, sad looking eyes and a roundish head. The average sloth can grow anywhere between 600-800mm.
Diet
The sloth has a main diet of leaves and fruit. The other food sloths eat are ants it sucks the ants out of the ant nest. All thought sloths don't drink water like humans it has it own way of drinking water when it eats the leaves when its wet the leaf has water on it which means that's how they drink water without having to actually drink like humans do.
Despite having lots of appetites the sloths main diet consists of Leaves and Fruit and Ants. Because being related to an anteater dispute thought they don't have a trunk or a tube for sucking stuff up with being related to an anteater gives them a vacuum to suck the ants out of the nest like a trunk.
Habitat
The sloth is a tree dweller witch means it lives in a tree the sloths are losing habitats because of mankind. They live in tropical forests of Central America and South America.

The sloth is slow moving on land. The average sloth sleeps up to 20 hours a day. They rarely come down from trees they only come down from there tree once a week to go to the toilet. The three-toes sloths like sitting upright in a fork of a tree branch they are really slow when it comes to land to move the sloth digs its front claws into the ground and drags it body around. The sloth is mainly nocturnal scientists believe that sloths slow so they are less noticeable to predators like hawks and feral cats. The sloth will camouflage it self by letting algae grow on its shaggy fur and also they can blend in with the surroundings if they are caught by a predator they hiss, slash with their claws and they shriek loudly.

Student Comment: I found out how to write an information report without help to do it. I think my fingers go faster than my brain because I had quiet a lot of mistakes in the information report I think in future I should slow down and think about what I am writing.
